B500DD Series
Extra Light Torque Tube Type
- Manufactured to AS27646 per AS7949.
- Extra light duty.
- Single row, ball.
- Teflon coated fiberglass seals.
- All external surfaces except bore and seals are cadmium plated.
- Pre-lubricated.
- This series is dimensionally interchangeable with the unshielded B500 series.
All exposed surfaces of the inner and outer ring bearing components are cadmium plated (per QQ-P-416E) with the exception of the inner ring bore. Cadmium plating is very effective at preventing galvanic corrosion.
This line of aircraft bearings is also suitable for other applications with: 1) oscillatory or slow rotational speeds 2) high loads 3) corrosive environments or where galvanic corrosion is a concern.
